WHAT WE BELIEVE

Holy Scriptures

We believe in the Holy Scripture of both the Old and New Testaments as the verbal, complete, inspired Word of God; inerrant in the original writings, the supreme and final authority in faith and life, and the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of mankind.

GOD

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, sovereign, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.  He died on the cross for our sins. He arose bodily from the dead and ascended into Heaven where he sits at the right hand of God as our High  Priest and Advocate.

Holy SPIRIT

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ, to convict men of sin, to regenerate the repentant sinner, to indwell the Christian, to enable him to live a godly life, to give spiritual gifts and to empower the Church to carry out Christ’s Great Commission

MAN

We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and fell from grace, and although he retains his dignity in the image of God, he has incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word and deed.

Jesus’ Death, Resurrection &

Justification:

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, that the

shed blood of Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for being pronounced righteous and granted salvation according to the Scriptures.

sALVATION

We believe that only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.  Only those who repent of their sin and receive by faith Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become the children of God.

LAST THINGS

We believe in the personal, visible, bodily, glorious and pre-millennial coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that this “blessed hope” has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.

SATAN & HELL

We believe that Satan is a real being, was the originator of sin and is the arch- enemy of God and mankind, and that Hell is the place of eternal, conscious punishment of the unsaved.

Resurrection & Eternity

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, and the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the judgment and everlasting punishment of the lost.

oRDINANCES

We believe that baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper are the ordinances to be observed by the members and adherents of this church.  They are, however, a personal witness of the believer’s faith and not a means of salvation.

pRIESTHOOD

We believe in the priesthood of every believer, that Jesus Christ is the only Head and Lord of the true Church and the Word of God is the sole and final authority for the faith and practice of all believers.
